Tablet is a National Magazine Award-winning website of Jewish news, ideas, and culture that hosts thousands of visitors a day. In 2009, Project Projects was commissioned to create a comprehensive suite of identities Tablet, Nextbook Press, and Nextbook Inc, along with an initial front-end design for tabletmag.com. In 2011, Tablet chose Project Projects to lead phase two of the project, which includes an updated graphic look, restructured information architecture, front-end design, special indexes for unfolding stories, and branded subsections including The Scroll and Vox Tablet. In 2012, the site expanded to include comprehensive guides to Jewish holidays, “best of” lists, trending topics, and a broadened feature set.
New features include a homepage carousel and more than a half-dozen custom widgets that integrate Tablet's social media channels and site analytics. Substantive rollover menus offer the opportunity to peek into relevant sections and showcase new contributors including Judith Miller, Elizabeth Wurtzel, Daphne Merkin, and Adam Kirsch. Multimedia slideshows, videos, and how-tos complement Tablet's in-depth coverage.
