We’re extremely pleased to announce that Rob Giampietro is joining Project Projects as a principal. Rob has been a friend of Project Projects since its inception six years ago and has actively collaborated on recent projects across a variety of media, including the online magazine Tablet and the upcoming catalogue for the Guggenheim Museum’s 2010 Hugo Boss Prize. As a writer, Rob’s essays and design commentary have appeared in Dot Dot Dot, Design Observer, and BusinessWeek as well as in The New York Times, New York Magazine, and on NPR. As a designer, Rob has worked with cultural clients including Gagosian Gallery, David Zwirner, and Knoll, along with nonprofit organizations such as the United Nations, The Global Fund to Fight AIDS Tuberculosis & Malaria, and the NYC2012 Olympic Bid. Rob currently teaches at Parsons and in RISD’s Graduate Graphic Design Department, and he served as Vice President of AIGA/NY for 2008–2009. Rob brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the studio, and we’re excited to have him here.
